Tomasz Bujnowicz

Senior Shopify Plus Frontend Developer at DTAILS

Background

I've been building for the web for over a decade. Before e-commerce, I worked on digital projects for enterprise brands — Novo Nordisk, Lancome, Paco Rabanne, Autodesk, GSK, Casio, Jabra, DSV — which is where I learned to ship under real constraints: strict brand guidelines, multi-market rollouts, and teams spread across time zones.

When I moved into e-commerce, that enterprise discipline came with me. At DTAILS, I build storefronts for some of Scandinavia's biggest Shopify Plus merchants — premium fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands that need more than a template can deliver. Before that, I worked with high-traffic stores like Meshki and 1212 Gateway, and dozens of other Shopify Plus merchants across the US, Australia, and the UK.

Based in Poland, working remotely with teams across Scandinavia and beyond. Previously lived on La Palma in the Canary Islands — until the volcano erupted in 2021.

I use AI coding tools daily and write about how they change the way I build. I started because most Shopify content is either beginner-level tutorials or agency marketing — I wanted to share the kind of practical, technical content I wish I had when I was figuring things out.

Outside of client work, I help maintain the site for the Charlie Cart Project — a nonprofit that teaches kids to cook through mobile kitchen carts in schools, libraries, and food banks across the US. Small contribution, great mission.

What I Do

Custom Theme Development

Full custom Shopify themes built for performance and merchant flexibility. No page builders, no bloat — storefronts that score high on Core Web Vitals and are easy for merchants to configure.

Complex Feature Builds

Product configurators, dynamic filtering, advanced cart logic, B2B pricing, multi-variant selectors — the features that require deep platform knowledge and architectural thinking.

AI & Data Readiness

Most Shopify stores are invisible to AI agents because product data lives in template logic instead of structured fields. I restructure the data layer so AI can actually discover and recommend products.
